Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how FundingArb ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the FundingArb Screener platform ("Platform"). This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work properly, to improve user experience, and to provide information to website operators. Cookies may be "session cookies" (which are deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a specified period or until you delete them).
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and web beacons (pixel tags) for similar purposes. References to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Name | Purpose | Flags | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
.AspNetCore.Cookies |
Authenticated web session. Issued after login, carries only an opaque session identifier bound to the server-side user record. | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict, Path=/ | Up to 24 hours (sliding renewal on activity) |
CSRF-TOKEN |
Cross-site request forgery protection (double-submit pattern). Readable by JavaScript so the single-page UI can echo it back in an X-CSRF-TOKEN header; the server rejects state-changing requests where the header and cookie disagree. |
Secure, SameSite=Strict, Path=/ (HttpOnly=false intentionally) | 24 hours |
refresh_token |
Opaque JWT refresh handle scoped to /api/auth. Used to obtain a new short-lived access token without re-entering credentials. |
HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict, Path=/api/auth | 14 days, rotated on use, revoked on logout / password change |
The Platform also stores two localStorage keys on your device for UI preferences: screener-bg (background theme) and screener-cursor (cursor style). These stay on your device and are never transmitted to the server.
No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. The Platform currently does not load Google Analytics, Yandex Metrika, Sentry, or any advertising / behavioural-tracking SDK. If that changes in a future release, this policy will be updated before the change goes live, and the updated "Last Updated" date below will reflect that revision.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The Platform does not currently embed any third-party scripts, iframes, or pixels that would set cookies in your browser. In particular, we do not use Google Analytics, Yandex Metrika, Facebook Pixel, Sentry, or comparable third-party SDKs.
If you proceed to a third-party payment processor in a future release (e.g., Stripe checkout, Coinbase Commerce), that processor may set its own cookies in accordance with its own cookie and privacy policy. Those cookies are under the processor's control, not ours; we will disclose the processor and link to its policy from this page before enabling the integration.
4. localStorage and sessionStorage
In addition to traditional cookies, the Platform uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage to store user preferences and application state locally on your device. This includes settings such as dashboard layout, table configurations, notification preferences, and UI theme selection. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers (except where necessary for functionality, such as syncing preferences across devices).
5. Managing Cookies
5.1 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically configure your browser to: block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, delete cookies when you close the browser, or receive a notification before a cookie is set. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your browser.
5.2 Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you disable strictly necessary cookies, the Platform may not function correctly — you may be unable to log in, maintain a session, or use core features. Disabling functional cookies may result in a degraded user experience (e.g., the Platform may not remember your preferences). Disabling analytics cookies will not affect Platform functionality.
5.3 Clearing localStorage
You can clear localStorage data through your browser's developer tools (typically accessible via F12 or browser settings → Site Settings → Clear Data). This will reset any locally stored preferences.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
